Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a diverse ethnic background. Her father Elroy is from Sri Lanka (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim is a Malaysian. There are two older brothers, and two younger ones. Parents moved to Bahrain in the late 1980s as a result of the Lankan civil unrest and hence she was born and raised in Bahrain. After finishing high school in Bahrain she received the Scholarship to the University of Sydney to pursue the Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. As a lover of culture as well as languages, she attended Berlitz Language School in which she learned Spanish and improved her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was crown in March 2006; she also took part in Miss Universe 2006 In the wake of her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone entered the television world as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan Business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore however, she was born in Copenhagen. As a teenager, she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport to become an artist. Padukone was born in Mangalore, Indian. Her mother tongue Konkani is her mother tongue. Padukone is a village located in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton and her mother is also a travel consultant.
